Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed custom SMILE surgery. Following surgery, Simone was able to achieve superior and, above all, stable vision, with fast and accurate eye movements at every change of distance and light.
Before surgery, both eyeglasses and contact lenses used to hamper Simone’s visual function. This resulted in a poor performance in a sport like Enduro where reflexes and speed are a major difference-maker in identifying the roughness of the terrain.
Final refractive outcome: 20/15 visual acuity 5 days after surgery.
