Vision problem: Severe myopia and astigmatism
Surgery: FemtoLASIK and PSP Programme
Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed FemtoLASIK surgery with the aid of the PSP (Personal Sportsman Profile) programme, that he devised for all professional athletes to improve one’s vision and, most importantly, make it more stable, accurate and faster at any change of distance and light.
Surgery was needed to correct 5.5 dioptres of myopia with 1.5 dioptres of astigmatism in her right eye, and 5.75 dioptres of myopia with 1.25 dioptres of astigmatism in her left eye. Recovery was fast and Alessandra could immediately go back to training, having seen a massive improvement in clarity and overall quality of vision.
The final result was 18/10 natural visual acuity.
