Vision problem: Astigmatism and myopia
Surgery: FemtoLasik and PSP Programme
Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed FemtoLASIK surgery with the aid of the PSP (Personal Sportsman Profile) programme, that he devised for all professional athletes to improve one’s vision and, most importantly, make it more stable, accurate and faster at every change in distance and light.
Surgery corrected the athlete’s compound myopic astigmatism in both eyes, an annoying refractive error that affected her perception of details during training and competitions (bump – ditch – snow irregularities- sun/shadow change) and significantly impaired her performance. Laser eye surgery allowed Federica to eliminate contact lenses permanently.
The final result was 20/10 natural visual acuity.
