Vision problem: Myopic astigmatism
Surgery: PRK TLCT and PSP Programme
Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed PRK surgery with the aid of the PSP (Personal Sportsman Profile) programme, that he devised for all professional athletes to improve one’s vision and, most importantly, make it more stable, accurate and faster at every change in distance and light.
Gabriel had compound myopic astigmatism in both eyes, which affected his sports performance. After surgery, he could finally stop wearing contact lenses, which were becoming increasingly detrimental to his performance, since sudden movements and violent tackles are quite common in ice hockey.
The final result was 18/10 natural visual acuity.
