Vision problem: Myopia and astigmatism
Surgery: FemtoLASIK and PSP Programme
Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed FemtoLASIK surgery with the aid of the PSP (Personal Sportsman Profile) programme, that he devised for all professional athletes to improve one’s vision and, most importantly, make it more stable, accurate and faster at every change in distance and light.
Surgery was needed to correct 3 dioptres of myopia with 1.25 dioptres of astigmatism in his right eye, and 3.25 dioptres of myopia and partial amblyopia in his left eye associated with divergent strabismus (exophoria-exotropia).
Recovery was fast and Roberto immediately saw an improvement in clarity and overall quality of vision, as well as reduced strabismus, which had a positive impact on his posture and athletic performance.
The final result was 16/10 natural visual acuity.
