Vision problem: Hyperopia and astigmatism
Surgery: FemtoLASIK and PSP Programme
Dr. Angelo Appiotti performed FemtoLASIK surgery with the aid of the PSP (Personal Sportsman Profile) programme, that he devised for all professional athletes to improve one’s vision and, most importantly, make it more stable, accurate and faster at every change in distance and light.
Surgery was needed to correct Vincenzo’s hyperopia and presbyopia, so that he could stop wearing contact lenses and improve both near and intermediate vision – a necessary requirement to race and clearly see the dashboard during races.
The final result was 14/10 natural visual acuity.
